I already had a solid grasp of Photoshop, but Illustrator was a different beast. I understood the raster vs. vector distinction early on, but actually working in Illustrator unlocked a completely different way of thinking about design, precision over pixels, scalability over resolution. Once it clicked, it became dangerously fun.
