Walking around the junk tables in Joppa i stopped at this one table that had a stack of paper stuff. If you ever been to a flea market you know the stacks of random paper junk people can have it had old war photos and old British pictures of soldier uniforms cut out from like an encyclopedia, and other odd pieces like the Aristotle print i posted earlier. I flipped over a page of some random shit i don’t even remember and i first notice the Salmagundi Club tag and i knew i was already going to buy it. I’ve passed the building a few times while visiting new York a bunch in my 20s and knew i had to have it. I flipped it over i noticed a huge green $5 sticker on it and i couldn’t get my ones out fast enough. He looked at me strange on why i started shaking as i handed him over said oh shit. Because i had just looked down and had an original early Bruce Crane and if you know a little art history you’ve read or have seen the name before. I now am the proud owner of an original Bruce Crane oil and canvas mounted on board for $5…. Errmmmm if you don’t know it’s one of those finds….
