Thanksgiving growing up in an Italian household, we never ate turkey or ham on the holidays. For Thanksgiving it was always Wedding Soup and Stuffed Shells with gravy. The essence of the gravy was meatballs, pork spareribs, pepperoni (Boiled Off), and brasciole. I was never a fan of wedding soup so I make the faggY-O-Lee instead.
